Diane works with children five years of age and older, and adolescents.
Counselling. Parents often find that in addition to the support they can provide their child at home, children and adolescents can benefit from being able to be supported by a professional to deal with their worries, depressed mood, the impact of change including parental separation, or the impact of an event that is traumatic in nature.
Assessments. Children and adolescents experiencing learning difficulties or behavioural issues can benefit from assessments which evaluate intellectual and academic skills (psychoeducational assessments); such assessments highlight the individual’s strengths as well as difficulties and is an important component to assisting the child or adolescent’s learning. Psychological assessments can also form a useful part of an overall paediatric and allied health assessment when issues such as autism and attentional factors are being explored.
